Alfa Romeo back to the US soil by 2012
Lovers of Italian car marques will have something to rejoice. With all the Fiat restructuring and plan revisions, the company’s topman Sergio Marchionne confirmed that the Alfa Romeo will be rolling off the US shore once again in 2012.
The midsize Giulia will be among the first vehicles to reach their dealerships in North America. The Giulia will be offered as a sedan and as a wagon. The plans were not disclosed yet but we can bet the Chrysler network of stores will be used to market the brand.
By 2013, Alfa Romeo wants to offer the MiTo 5-door hatchback in the United States which will be rolling out with the new Spider. Will it be anywhere near the looks of the 2uettottanta that was displayed as a concept car in Geneva?
Two years after the brand’s US comeback, Alfa will refresh its hatchback Giullietta to fit the bill for the market. A bigger USV will also come in the same year getting its DNA from the Jeep Liberty.
According to The Alfa Romeo Blog, the automotive circle will be buzzing about a ton of Fiat news as they announce their 5 year plan for their brands.
